A new spread in my Donna Downey A.J. using new stuff from the Art Specially Event.

Last Saturday me and two of my friends went to the Art Specially Event in Nijkerk (Netherlands), which is all about stamping and crafting. We had a blast en spent way too much money (don't tell our hubbies).
Anyhow, yesterday I got the chance to get playing and this is the result.
Now the background was made with an accident: I knocked an open bottle of Lindy's Stamp Gang spray over and mopped a lot of it up with my Art Journal. That's the green you're seeing. I added Distress Ink Chipped Saphire all around and found the combination surprisingly beautiful.
The dots are made with my brandnew TCW stencil and gold coloured texture paste by Solo Goya, a German brand which I bought when on holiday in Germany. I haven't seen the band anywhere else thought, but just love the stuff. The text stamp was a gift at the Art Specially Event, and I love it!
This is an Indigo Blue stamp which my friend Annika bought and kindly lent to me. I put Memento blue in the middle en the outside of the stamp was done with Indigo Blue Mega-Flakes in the colour Morris Dance. Love the effect!!
I used a script stamp in the backgroud with green Memento ink and stamped some Tim Holtz butterflies with a darkblue embossing powder. To finish the spread I distressed the edges, again with Chipped Saphire Ditress Ink.

    This is beautiful. I love the fact that the background has been made by accident it is really effective. It is wonderful to see an art journal page as I have just made my first bound art journal and this has given me loads of inspiration.
