Hi everyone, did you miss me? We went on a little trip to the Tsjech Republic and came back just last night. I saw the new letter for the Craft Barn challenge is the letter A and checked out the entries so far. I always try to pick a word that nobody chose so far, so I picked 'atom'. I started out painting the page with Creative Inspiration paints in Mocha Latte and Turqoise. The picture doesn't do them credit because they have this lovely shimmer to them, love that. I took a grey Faber Castel Pitt Pen and added some shading around the atoms to make them stand out more. (Bought them on holiday so there brandnew!). And as a last step I used Distres Ink Black Soot to distress the edges of the page.
I printed the atom images which I found on the Internet on tissue paper and used Matte gel medium to glue them down. I added Glossy Accents on all the circles to make them nice and shiny.
Then I took a mask and used a blow pen in blue to get the image of the
mask into the background. Of course I should have done that first,
before gluing the atoms down, but of course I thought of that a little
late in the process LOL. I accentuated all the circles and ovals in the
mask with a permanent red felttip pen.
And of course a picture of the word in my dictionary. Hope you enjoyed this one. Onto the next, love the dictionary challenge!
