I've joined in on the calendar challenge at The Kathryn Wheel and here's April.

Hi everyone, now most of you have seen that I participate in the Craft Barn Dictionary challenge, so every 2 weeks there's a dictionary page coming on my blog, but I have this Dyan Reavely journal, and that is very suited for making calendar pages. Kate Crane runs a calendar challenge so I decided I would join in and here's my version of April 2013.
I sprayed with Dylusions Cherry Pie and added some thinned white acrylic paint here and there. I stamped various stamps with Black Stazon and doodled on them with a white paint marker.
The large black splatters were made with an acrylic paint dabber: you push down on a craft sheet to get some paint in the dabber. Then you spray some water onto the dabber and bang the dabber hard on the paper surface. Easy peasy and just love the effect.
I used some washi tape on and around the letters and numbers. The days of April were made with a Sizzlits mini tag die from various blue papers and the date numbers on the tag were made by writing and several different stickers.
Now this is May, and of course it's still empty. Will be back end of the month with a filled May calendar and June.

    I love your April pages, that Cherry Pie spray is lush. I havent used mine yet but think I will need to get it out and try it on a page
