Catching up, here's October...

And of course October had to be Halloween, it does make sense doesn't it? I sprayed my pages with Dylusions on the edges and in the middle I used Lindsy Stamp Gang purple sprays which gives a lovely shimmer.

I printed the pumpkins on orange paper and cut them all out, a hell of a job! Then I printed the tombstones and stamped the days on in black embossing powder. The bat was also embossed in black and painted in with Creative Inspirations paints and H2O, lovely shimmery paints.

The Simply Betty Image was also painted in with H2O with exception of the face which was painted in Distress Ink.

Isn't that the cutest little bat?! From a Penny Black stamp set, and so are the pumpkins at the bottom and the spider in his web. I love the way the shimmer on his wings shows in the picture, usually it's really hard to catch that in a picture.

Finally, Summer holiday is here! Spread and do enter my candy peeps, it's really worth while!

Hi ladies, it's finally here, the summer holiday! These last two weeks have been murder and I am dead beat right now. But I do have 6 weeks of holiday waiting for me, so I'm not complaining. You will be seeing lots of work appearing on my blog again, ánd I will have time for visiting your blogs, so you will be seeing me pop by. I do have something to show you; a spread from my Donna Downey album (which is exactly like the album that is in my candy, just a different fabric cover, so do enter ladies, it's really worth while!).
Now for this one I started out wich a large stencil with butterflies from TCW and H2O paints, dabbing with a sponge over the stencil. I used blue and aqua colours en they blended beautifully and gave such a lovely shimmer on my pages.

I then used a script stencil and texture paste to make this gorgeous sript in 3D, it gives lots of texture to the spread. Then I added cream lace rubons here and these. I diecut large Cheery Lynn butterflies and gave them some Stickles. I tehn glued them down on the butterflies of the stencil I used.

Now the stencil had these swirl like things that suggest movement and also bind the butterflies together. I used loads of old shirt buttons and a hot glue gun to glue them on these swirls.

I didn't add a quote or any words to this page, I felt it didn't need any and liked it just the way it came out. The little inclusion between the pages it typical for the Donna Downy albums, and I always try to let the motiv continue over it. I also sometimes use it to add wording or a quote.

Deze spread in mijn Donna Downey album startte met een achtergrond van blauwe en turqoise H2O verfjes die prachtig in elkaar overvloeien en een mooie glimmer aan de pagina's geven. (Dat Donna Downey album is trouwens hetzelfde dat in mijn candy zit, alleen met een ander stofje als omslag, dus doe vooral mee met de candy, hij is echt de moeite waard!). Ik heb daarbij een TCW stencil gebruikt met vlinders verbonden door een soort lussen die beweging suggereren. Daarna heb ik met een ander stencil en 3D pasta het handschrift erop gemaakt. De vlinders zijn grote Cheery Lynn vlinders die ik met Stickles wat glitter heb gegeven en op de plaats van de vlinders in de achtergrond heb geplakt. Tenslotte heb ik hier en daar nog wat kanten rubons aangebracht en met een lijmpistool héél veel oude overhemdknoopjes op de lussen geplakt. Ik heb deze keer geen citaat of woorden aangebracht, ik vond dat deze het niet nodig heeft, vandaar! Voor iedereen die op vakantie gaat, een super fijne vakantie gewenst, geniet ervan, en voor alle anderen, ik zie jullie in blogland.
